How to Unfollow on Facebook?

What is Facebook News Feed?

News Feed is the constantly updating list of stories in the middle of your home page on Facebook. The stories come from people you have connected to on your Facebook Page that you have liked as well.

You can customize what types of stories you see in your News Feed by hovering over a story and selecting the “…” icon. From there, you can select to see less or more from that person or Page in the future.

To unfollow someone, hover over a story from them in your News Feed and select the “…” icon. Then, choose “Unfollow.” When you unfollow someone, their posts will no longer show up in your News Feed.

You can still view their profile and send them messages. If you want to see their posts again, you can always add them back as a Facebook friend.

This will show you all new stories since you last logged into Facebook. You can also choose other options like “Top Stories” (which shows you the most popular stories from people and Pages you’ve connected to) or “Recent Stories First” (which shows you new stories first but only from people and Pages you’ve recently interacted with).

If you want to go back to reading top stories first, just select that option again.

You can also control what types of stories appear in your News Feed and select News Feed Preferences page.

Hide all posts from a person, but still be friends with them

If you want to stay friends with someone but stop seeing a person’s posts in your news feed, you can choose to “unfollow” them. To do this, visit their profile page and hover over the Following button. A down arrow menu will appear with the option to “Unfollow.”

Unfriend someone

If you want to completely remove someone from your Facebook friends list, you can choose to “unfriend” them. To do this, visit their Facebook profile page and hover over the Friends button. A drop-down menu will appear with the option to “Unfriend.”

Block someone
